I am trying to add a new computer to my home wireless network. I have a 54G router wired to my computer. The new computer asks for a "network security key", unfortunately, I have no idea what that is.I tried resetting the router using the reset in the back and then entering' admin" as the troubleshooting suggests, to no avail. What now?

Download and open THIS key finder on a computer that is connected to the wireless network.
Then double click the file: WirelessKeyView.exe

It will show you the network key.

I don't know how to access "this" on the other computer. Can you explain how or walk me through it? I tried the download on the hard wired computer with no luck.
Network Technician: James, Sr. Network Administrator replied 8 years ago
Sorry - please run this link on the other computer, it will get you a zip file. Open the zip file and run wirelesskeybiew.exe

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wirelesskeyview.zip

By OTHER COMPUTER I mean the one connected wirelessly to the router right now.
