No dial tone just keeps saying please wait please wait and one time it said check internet connection I did that I unplugged internet box unplugged the phone unplugged all kind of stuff and plugged it back in and it's still saying please wait

Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Who provides your home phone service (att, verizon, comcast, magicjack, ooma, etc)
4) Full model of the phone(s) (printed on sticker on the main base station, not the handset)

I gave up on back yesterday when nobody would answer me so I hope they have not charged me because I did not get any service I'll get my son to check it out
