I had to put my laptop back to factory settings. I need to get the BIOS updates. Do I need to download and install all of the updates oldest to newest? Or can I download and install the most recent update?

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand/model and Operating System (OS) of your laptop?

Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 64 bit

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Satellite? Have you installed any updates recently?

All of the updates for Windows 7 Nothing from Toshiba. I don't know what order to download and install them,

I’m talking about the updates from the laptop manufacturer: BIOS in particular.
Computer technician: Jins M. N., Computer Hardware Engineer replied 3 months ago

BIOS updates and OS updates are different. You only need to update the BIOS with the latest update that the manufacture provides. Make sure you are using the correct bios update for your laptop model. Updating with wrong file will damage your system. Other updates manufacturer providing are various driver updates. You need to install latest version of drivers. No need to install old version.
