I cannot make calls

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?

Also I have used mj since 2009 and have been satisfied with mj until I had to order mj go. I have had nothing but problems

Since I got new laptop and mj go four or five mos

when i dial a number I get auto message saying to check internet connection or go online to mj.com. higI also cannot not get my app with my number directory and record of calls coming to my phone. although my internet is working the app does not bring up my directory of numbers. This magicJack Go has been nothing but problematic from the very begging. I had vertually no problems with my first mj 2009.

when I purchased a new computer, HP, I could no longer use the magic jack which I purchased in about 2009. My computer was hacked three mos ago and a I had a local IT person wipe the memory. Since that time, I have had more problems. I can no longer make or receive calls. when I dial a number, I get the message telling me to check my internet or go to magicjack.com to solve the problem. I have not received any calls in nearly a month. Since I am a senior citizen I am requesting a remote IT to help me get my mj phone working

My name is David.

Occasionally memory errors occur in network devices that cause this type of problem. So first, to rule out that possibility, power down the router/modem that provides your Internet access and unplug the power cord as well. Wait 3 minutes. Then plug in the power cord on the router/modem and power up the device. Wait for the router/modem to completely start up. Then do the same with your WiFi router (if you have a separate WiFi router rather than a modem that provides both routing and WiFi). Then reboot your computer and MagicJak after the router/modem has completed start up and test to see if the issue is resolved.
Please let me know the result before rating me - if the above solution does not resolve the issue there are other solutions I will provide you.
