Setup bios will not allow boot from removable usb devices

Technician's Assistant: What exactly is frozen or not starting up for you?

Computer will not boot, and get error message.

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?

ASUS TP500LA

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?

I'm quite savy in this area. Since can't access drive any way, I first tried to reflash BIOS. ASUS EX Flash routine will not recognize TP500LAB.207 file downloaded from web site. CPU is I7

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand, model, and Operating System (OS) of your computer?

ASUS TP500LA WIN 8.1 running Intel I7

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your computer?

I just typed that message

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?

Yes, I have also removed the 1TB hard drive and restored the OS and system partition using Acronis True Image 2014 when connected to another computer using USB connection.. System Partition is not bottable
