I recently got a WD Passport (we will refer to it as # 2) and it works just fine. A year ago I purchased a Passport (# 1) and it worked fine until the new software for my new Passport was installed. I have a third backup drive off site ( it may be WD, I don't remember off hand) and it was configured to use the software from # 1. I would like to use the newer software on all three devices as I like to swap them out from time to time to make sure I have backed up files off site. How do I do this?

# 1 is Passport 1TB, # 2 is Passport 2TB

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your WD software?

I backed up all my data to # 2 and it is now on an hourly schedule. When I disconnected # 2, # 1 would no longer function.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Software Expert to know before I connect you?
