I can't get my microphone to work

Technician's Assistant: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?

Hp touch screen but i don't know the model windows 10 is the OS

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?

Several months. I've tried getting help from the computer literate, your virtual helper and troubleshooting.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?

For a while even after the issue started I could communicate sometimes but now not at all
