i downloaded the new high sierra operating system to my computer..now my seagate backup slim dive will not back up...Ser# ***** version 0304.seagate dashboard 4.8.3.0 up tp date..
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your machine, and what operating system are you running?

there must be another way without letting you into my compter

You are running a Mac, so you must do the following:
- Click the Apple icon on the top left of your screen.
- Click System Preferences
- Click Security
- Click the "General" tab
- Click the "Open Anyways" button and run the program.

Once that is done, the remote application will open.

no the screen says select backup disc

In that case, click the "Select Backup Disk" button and choose your backup drive. Does that work now?
