I HAVE A WD PASSPORT EXTERNAL DRIVE. MY COMPUTER WILL NOT

i HAVE A WD PASSPORT EXTERNAL DRIVE. MY COMPUTER WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT. HOWEVER IF I GO TO THE DISCONNECT FEATURE IT SHOWS UP. HOW DO i FIX THIS.
JA: What's the brand, model, and Operating System (OS) of your computer?
Customer: DELL 5758 WINDOWS 10 PRO
JA: What have you tried so far with your computer?
Customer: All I have done is try hooking it to all the usb ports.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have another upright wd external hd and it does the same thing. I have 2 other hd's and they show up fine.

The issue that you have pointed out might be due to WD Passport Driver. Can you please uninstall the same. To Uninstall, Press Windows Button and R, type devmgmt.msc. Device Manager will appear.

From Device Manager, please right click and uninstall the WD Passport Driver. Please give a System Restart and then plugin you Hard Drive.

Please do let us know once you have done the same.
