The keyboard on my desktop is not working, I have been using

the keyboard on my desktop is not working
JA: What's the make and model of your computer? And have you had problems with this keyboard in the past?
Customer: I have been using it for some time. This morning i turned the computer on and when i went to type in the pw the letters would not type. The battery indicator was blinking red so I changed the batteries and tried again and the same thing happened and so i tried other new batteries and same thing happened
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I have not, but I checked and the unify said my unify was up to date
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
