Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you with your question today. I am John, I will do my very best to help you solve this problem.
We need to find and install the appropriate driver for your computer and see if it is compatible with Linux 18 cinnamon.
If you know how to do it, please find the driver for your mouse or trackpad (not sure which one are you trying to use). You may need to wait as well for your manufacturer to provide a Linux driver.
If you have issues, please let me know the brand and model of your computer, and tell me if you are trying to use an external mouse, or the trackpad. If it is a external mouse, please let me know the brand and model of it as well.
Please let me know if you need more assistance by using the reply box below, I'm happy to discuss further. :) If not, please take a moment to rate my personal answer to you.
