I'm struggling to adjust horizontal and vertical sizing on a

Customer Question

I'm struggling to adjust horizontal and vertical sizing on a monitor displaying via HDMI info from a laptop. I'm unable to see all text on the monitor display as shown on the laptop display. I've tried adjusting monitor settings but the horizontal/vertical setting is grey and unavailable. Where should I be making adjustments, on the laptop or the monitor?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your laptop, and what operating system are you running?
Customer: Laptop is an HP Envy running Windows 10
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I've tried adjusted the monitor itself, but again, it does not allow me to access the horizontal/vertical settings.
JA: The computer expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: No. This is my first time using an HDMI cable to connect the 2 devices and I'm just getting frustrated. But, I finally have display on the monitor, just trying to scale it down so all items fit on the screen display.

By the way, would you please reset monitor settings to default. All we have to do is in laptop only

Once setting is set to default please do this..

1: Connect HDMI cable

2: Press Window key and P button in keyboard

3: Select projector option to Duplicate

4: Check monitor screen displays in correct way

Please update status

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No. Display on monitor when connected to my PC is fine, I only have this issue when connected to laptop via HDMI cable.

Just check :

Press Window key and p button on computer

Select Extend

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No change in resolution!
Expert:  arsufi2002 replied 1 year ago.

Does screen displays all files regardless of big screen

Expert:  arsufi2002 replied 1 year ago.

Or are you missing some part of original screen like missing Windows Start button(left), Time (right) etc

Expert:  arsufi2002 replied 1 year ago.

Also make sure you set screen resolution for Display 2 on screen resolution section. By default computer displays Laptop display which is Display 1

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
34;Or are you missing some part of original screen like missing Windows Start button(left), Time (right) etc". Yes, on all sides!
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
34;Also make sure you set screen resolution for Display 2 on screen resolution section. By default computer displays Laptop display which is Display 1"Doing this does not change the resolution!
Expert:  arsufi2002 replied 1 year ago.

That means we have to work on monitor side, but options like auto adjust, aspect ratio is missing as per your reply...

Let me see my colleagues can help you on this. For that reason i shall opt out

Thanks
