Hi again and thanks for that information. OK - was the battery allowed to discharge to a very low level - since the last time the device worked properly? And can I assume that the device has been FULLY charged - since that last use? What exactly shows on the screen of the device (what words) - when you start it up to find the courses? One other thing: Has the device EVER been updated - since it was new? Thanks

Thanks for that information. OK - if it IS showing the distance to some random hole, that tells us that at least it has the courses in it, but the device may need to be RESET - and then allowed to find the satellite signal again. I find that it is BEST to let the device sit in a STATIONARY place after a reset - so it can find and lock on the satellite signal FASTER. Here is the reset procedures I have for this device. I would try the SOFT reset first, and then the Master reset only if the soft reset doesn't restore proper operation. To Soft Reset the Approach:=======================- Press and hold Light/Power- Wait until screen goes blank (approximately 10 seconds)- Release Light/Power- Press and hold Light/Power- When the device powers on, release Light/PowerThe Approach will now restart. If the device is still unresponsive, connect the watch to the computer and then follow the above steps again.=======================To Master Reset the Approach (S2):===========================- Power the Approach off (Press and hold LIGHT/POWER button until device powers off)- Press and hold DOWN- Press LIGHT/POWER- Release DOWN and LIGHT/POWER when screen displays Clear user data?- Select YesThe device should now be reset to default factory settings, and the device should function as expected=========================== Please give one or both of these resets a try and then allow the device plenty of time to find and lock on the satellite signals - and then the courses. Let me know what you find or if you have any more questions. Thanks, ***** *****
