I have a 4.1 speaker system with my desktop, Windows 7.

I have a 4.1 speaker system with my desktop, Windows 7. Recently, I had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7. My front speakers aren't working, now,. although they were working before the reinstall. I have tried everything: reattaching cables,
running Windows diagnostic, etc., but to no avail. At work they tried two regular speakers and they both worked. Please help. Thank you.
