Customer Question

Trying to find the turn signal flasher in my 79 econoline. I see the hazard flasher in the location near the fuse panel and to the left of the steering column, but can't find the turn signal one.
JA: Have you checked the manual yet? Most vehicles have two fuse panels.
Customer: The Chiltons says it's mounted to the fuse panel, which is incorrect.
JA: What is the model of your '79 Ford?
Customer: E-250
JA: Are you fixing your E250 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have rebuilt most of the van (engine, trans, etc.) Signals were working, but are on steady, since I hooked a trailer to it. They flashed extremely fast, when the trailer was on. I pulled the flasher that I could find, and the hazard flashers quit working. Plugged it back in and they work again.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, I'm pretty sure it's the flasher that burned out.

My manual says it's taped to the windshield wiper wiring harness.
