Hi Pearl, I bought a 1969 Mustang Grande and disassembled the dash and took out the circuit board. The car ran fine, If I remember correctly, after that but now it wont start and the headlights, which as Im told do not run thru the circuit board dont work. the battery is fine.
JA: Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked the bulbs?
Customer: The fuses r fine and the bulbs r too
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I was. testing grounds and continuity
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

I do have a electrical assembly manual for the car but its hard to follow

Is your mustang equipped with an ammeter? Reaon I ask if it is and it's unhokked it will not be able to start and the lights will not work as power goes through that first.

It has an alternator gauge. But I do remember moving it after the circuit board came out.

I'm going to have to open this up to other experts, my wiring diagram is not very good at all for this model. I'll upload it for you below so another expert can use it as I'm having a terrible time following it due to bad eyesight. Someone should be with you shortly
