Hi there,

Can you check the rotor button turns while cranking the engine?

Can you check you have 12 volts at the coil positive with ignition on?

If the points are open, your test lamp should also be lit on the negative side.

If the points are closed the test lamp will not be lit on the negative.

If it is lit, then you have an open between the coil negative and the points.

Hi there,

Have you had any further testing as described by me above carried out as yet?

I hope you have found your problem.

Regards

Gary
