I own a 56Fairlane Sunliner. It gets unbearably hot in the front seat area once the engine gets hot. Why and what can I do to rectify this problem. Thanks

The older cars had jute insulation that is not as effective as modern materials, and breaks down over time. The solution to your problem will be to reinsulate the firewall and floor area of the car. This can be done easily by pulling back the carpet. Use a product such as the one shown in the link below. I have used this before and it works well.
