1975 bmw r90s, doing total resto and have just installed new

Customer Question

1975 bmw r90s, doing total resto and have just installed new front brake pads for the dual rotors. calipers will not line up with mounting holes on bottom of fork tubes. have tightened axle bolt with proper spacer between left fork tube and wheel. Pads are EBC, specifically for this bike. Pushed in pistons with c-clamp. the whole caliper needs to go inward (toward wheel) in order for hole in the caliper to align with mounting holes on fork tubes, however, not enough clearance with pads installed in the calipers. Are you using factory rotors and calipers, or are they EBC or some other brand?

If possible, can you take a photo of the caliper as far as it will seat so that I can see what is going on better. Use the paperclip icon on your reply box to upload it

Factory rotors and calipers, just EBC pads which are already against the caliper

did you match them against the old pads to make sure they were cut correctly
