Sorry about the wait. Do you feel actual misfire when you drive or just the check engine light comes on?

Ask Your Own Chrysler Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
just the check engine light. it stays on all the time. I took it to auto zone and had it read, got the P0305 code. Changed the spark plugs and wires. Did nothing, light still on. Changed the coil pack, light went off for maybe 30 min then came back on. Yesterday we changed the fuel injector for bank 5. Light went off (only drove maybe 10 miles yesterday) started the car today no light. Drove for about 30 miles check engine light came back on. Went back to auto zone got another reading and it is the same, misfire in bank 5, P0305

Did you check the cylinder #5 compression?

Ask Your Own Chrysler Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
We have not. can you explain how to check the compression. Also if that is not the problem is there anything else we can check
Chrysler Mechanic: Gunvir Singh,
 replied 11 months ago

To check the compression, you will need ot remove the spark plug and install a compression gauge. This will tell you if there is internal engine issue which can cause a misfire on that cylinder.

Ask Your Own Chrysler Question
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
As soon as i find a compression gauge i will try this

I AM VERY GLAD THAT I TOOK A CHANCE ON YOUR PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. I WAS SUCCESSFUL IN REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. MY TRUCK RUNS LIKE A CLOCK. IT RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. NO LUNGING FORWARD, THE TURBO REACTS THE SECOND I STOMP ON THE GAS, AND IT HAS A LOT MORE POWER AND EVEN SOUNDS BETTER TO ME. IT SAVED ABOUT $500.00 BY DOING THE WORK MYSELF. I GIVE YOU ALL THE CREDIT FOR YOUR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, JUST FROM THE SYMPTONS I GAVE YOU OVER THE e MAIL. I WILL USE YOUR WEB SITE AGAIN AND REFER MY FRIENDS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP.
