My cruise control stopped working on my 2012 Chrysler T and C van. Reading some posts on the internet it sounds like cruise control on the Chrysler vans as had numerous problems. What are you thoughts ?.
JA: Have you checked the fuse? What size is your engine?
Customer: We had a repair shop look at it - They ran a diagnostic and said I needed to replace the cruise control switch - $800.00 sounds like a lot of money ?
JA: What is the model of your '12 Chrysler?
Customer: I assume the checked the fuse. 3.6 G ?
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I do not work on my car. Only take it to a shop or a dealer .
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

im cam, a licenced diagnostic tech.

yes.... these cruise control switches are notorious for failing.

you can test them witha compatable scanner by commanding actions and monitoring if its receiving the signal. and with a dvom and monitoring voltages out of the switch itself.

i have done a few clocksprings for this issue too, but its mainly been the switch.
