Customer Question

When you know front struts are needing to be replaced on a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser, should the rear struts also be replaced at the same time? Do you replace the bushings (may not b proper term, might be called boots) at the same time as the struts? are the struts & bushings sold together as one?
JA: How has the ride been lately? Have you noticed any fluid under the car?
Customer: Not that I've noticed. Its been riding almost as though there are no struts for a long time.
JA: Are you fixing your PT Cruiser yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing has been done to the car so far. I was told by a pretty reliable relative mechanic that it needs struts & to replace the bushings at the same time but neither the parts store nor my actual mechanic have a clue what I mean when I say bushings.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
