I just had the water pump replaced on my 2009 PT Cruiser.

Customer Question

I just had the water pump replaced on my 2009 PT Cruiser. Now the engine light is on. Is one a result of the other? What should I have checked next?
JA: Has the vehicle ever overheated? And when was it last serviced?
Customer: Has never overheated. Last serviced at 70000 and now at 83000 miles.
JA: Are you fixing your PT Cruiser yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Not mechanically inclined. Work done at dealer.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No.

Did the check engine light come on immediately after the water pump replacement?
