Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

You appear to be describing the regulator cable which transmits motor power to the glass lift plate. If the cable has come off from any point on the reguatlro it will require replacement of the regulator.

The cable isn't serviceable. The regulator assembly needs to be replaced. The glass is unbolted and removed, the regulator nuts removed and the entire regulator assembly is removed and replaced.
