2009 Aspen Hybrid. Check engine light on.Low voltage is what

Customer Question

2009 Aspen Hybrid. Check engine light on.Low voltage is what was read from it. The 12 volt battery light (red battery symbol) stays lit for about 5 minutes before it turns off and everything runs at full power. Hybrid warning light lit once but turned off. Help?
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: Stays on
JA: Are you fixing your Aspen yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No. Am looking to take it into Dodge dealership but not sure if they work on hybrids. I will call and ask. Just didn't know if I was looking at paying for a new high voltage battery or if there were other causes...
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Thanks, no

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many possible causes for the symptoms you're experiencing. The problem may be with the inverter if the 12v battery isn't charging. The hybrid warning light may or may not be related.
