My car has the check engine light on and it says gas cap on

Customer Question

My car has the check engine light on and it says gas cap on my – I replaced the gas cap they told me it should reset on its own but it has not reset it still says gas cap
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: The light stays on
JA: What is the model/year of your Chrysler?
Customer: 06 Pacifica
JA: Are you fixing your Pacifica yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I took it to get the code red and they told me there was a leak I got everything check to see if they can find where the leak was coming from they told me there was no leak to just replace the gas cap my car does say gas cap on it so I replaced the gas cap a few days ago and they told me that I didn't have to reset Anything that it would reset on its own but it has not changed
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No that's the only problem I have
