does the motor stop working when it stops moving up or does it keep trying?

stops working

the window regulator is getting slack in the cables and binding the window on the way up and the internal circuit breaker is tripping in the motor. when you let it sit the breaker cools off and it allows the motor to run again. I would recommend replacing the window regulator and motor assembly.
