I bought a Chrysler Pacifica 2004 in an auction about a year

Customer Question

I bought a Chrysler Pacifica 2004 in an auction about a year ago. I shipped it abroad.
Whenever I go into reverse, the car spins out of control. It's like it is receiving more force than I applied when reversing. Have had 2 accidents already. Please advise.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

It sounds as if engine RPM goes higher than you intend for it to? The transmission being in reverse wouldn't really affect engine operation but with reverse being a higher gear ratio than first gear the issue may be more noticeable in reverse. You may have a throttle body or cable issue or possibly a vacuum leak.

Does the throttle seem to stick closed and then snap open quickly when the pedal is pressed?

I don't know. I am not knowledgeable in the field.
These all have to do with the engine?
