Could bottom hoe be collapsing because of new water pump?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.
Is the bottom hose collapsing? The new water pump should not cause that.

What all has been replaced?

Could the radiator be clogged? Had it back flushed about a year ago.

What you are describing sounds similar to a clogged radiator but that wouldn't explain system not holding pressure. System should easily hold 16 psi if not you will want to start checking or pin hole leaks in radiator. If none are found then next step will be checking cylinders to see if they are filling up with coolant during pressure test, if so you know the head gasket is leaking. But if system is not holding pressure that would only mean internal or external coolant leak. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks.
