Chrysler T&C Van: Installed a BCM in my 2001 T&C Van.

Customer Question

Installed a BCM in my 2001 T&C Van. The mileage on the odometer was 155,000
After the installation it had rolled back to 113,000 The dealer doesn't know why
it would roll back. I am trying to figure what would cause that knowing that when
you have it smogged it will look like some one turned the mileage back. We want
to know what caused it. Could it be that the BDM came off a car with only 113'000
miles on it and therefore changed my mileage? Thanks, *****

Hello I will help you with your question, Yes if this was a used BCM it will take the mileage in that BCM and display it. As far as I know there is no way to change it. Did the dealer try to install the old BCM? Do you have the alarm system on this vehicle? grey key head?

You can have the dealer give you an affidavit of the work and the result, I don't know your smog requirements but that should be sufficient to allow it to be smogged.
