I have a 2007 Chrysler 300C, the oil light comes on/off

Customer Question

I have a 2007 Chrysler 300C, the oil light comes on/off intermittently. The mechanics checked the oil level, and all is good. Any recommendations? Many thanks

have they manually checked pressure with a hand held gauge?

i don't know

that would be the next step we need to determine if its a gauge issue or a internal failure like a oil bump or bearings

Sorry For the delay in responding John, I got an overseas call. Thanks for this information. Does this condition pose any threat/possibility of another critical issue?

it can be the beginning of the end... if the oil pump fails it will starve the motor for oil...its the heart of the motor if it stops pumping or has weak pressure it can and will destroy the motor
