I am having cranking issue when i drive about 10-15 miles

Customer Question

Hello I am having cranking issue when i drive about 10-15 miles when my car heats up i go into the store and come back it won't fire back up. If the sit and wait about 15 minutes it starts right up. Depending on the weather if its cooler outside i don't have to wait as long and it will start right up. I hade the crank sensor replaced the oil sensor replace so far.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer.

My name is Vlad.

You will need to determine what is missing when it won't start.

I hope you fitted a genuine crankshaft position sensor as aftermarket parts could play up. It is worth to check your car for trouble codes, as it usually should set a trouble code if it cranks but won't start. Could be a camshaft sensor problem ( temperature related).

It could also be something wrong with the fuel system like intermittent fuel pump operation or a leaky injector that could flood the engine so it is really hard to start when hot.
