Hello, do you still need assistance?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
do you have an answer?
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

I have a few questions before I can give you an answer

Have you had it scanned for codes?

If so, what are they?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, this just happened a few hours ago. I have not had it scanned for codes
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

OK, you have a problem with the ABS system, 1 or more of the sensors have probably failed.

To find out which of the four you will need to have it scanned for codes.

The only other thing that could have happened is a complete loss of communication with the ABS module.

Either way we need to know what codes are in the system to fix it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have to take it in to the shop to have the codes read?
Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

You can try the key cycle method. It might work.

Cycle the key from off to run three times, the third time leaving in the run position.

Look at the odometer, it should list a four digit number with either a P or a U in front of it.

If it gives no codes, it will need to be scanned by someone with a code reader that will read PCM as well as ABS codes.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK, I will try that now
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That did not work, but the car starts and seems normal. The lights are out and the idle seems smooth.

If you start driving, if will most probably act up.

Expert:  Chad replied 1 year ago.

Not really no.

Sorry about that.
