I have a 97 Plymouth grand voyager that when put in drive it seems like something is holding it back and don't really won't to go when in reverse won't go and when I put it in neutral it will not move when pushed

Hi, your transmission will need to be rebuilt from what you are describing. Sometimes it's an exploded differential that caused that like from getting stuck in mud or snow and spinning the tires excessively to get unstuck, and there are other internal transmission parts that get fail and cause that issue.
