Customer Question

I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4.7..... When on the highway, say going 65-70....when I let off the gas, I heard a "thud" shound, like the tranny hasn't completely shifted. When I re-apply the gas pedal, a "snap" sound occurs as if I have a bad engine mount, but this isn't the case. What type of tranny issue could this be? It seems to shift down smoothly and responsively from start, it's only when I'm traveling a highway speeds and let my foot off gas and re-apply.....Mike. 115k on vehicle

Hi. I am not so sure you have a transmission issue. Have you had the u-joints in the driveshaft checked? That is more common to cause the concern you have.
