afternoon, You mentioned and only have 1 remote. If only unlock works then you have either a problem with the remote or the system on the vehicle. Programming the old remote that you have will not make a difference. The programming makes the vehicle recognize the remote....not the specific buttons like unlock or lock. You can have the remote tested to see if all the features are working by visiting your local parts store. I have seen remote signal testers on the counter at Oriellys Auto Parts. This way you can see if all features work and are sending a signal out. If a problem is found then the remote will need to be replaced. It requires a secret 4 digit pin number that the dealer has access to inorder to program any new remotes. If you had 2 working key then you could program the replacement yourself. Otherwise you need to have the dealer program a new remote/key.
