Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
There are quite a few things that will prevent starter engagement. If you hear no noise it could be the wireless ignition node, the starter, transmission range sensor related, possibly an issue with the powertrain control module, wiring, or the TIPM (module/fuse box under the hood).
If you hear a single click from the engine compartment it's most likely the starter itself, rapid clicking is usually low battery voltage.
Do you hear any noise when attempting to start the engine?
