The problem is likely from low battery voltage. It isn't uncommon for the instrument cluster and other modules to have odd issues when their supply voltage falls low enough it can't fully power up.
I'm assuming the starter doesn't crank. If not and connections are clean and tight then the first thing I would recommend is trying a jump start (not always reliable), swapping in a known good battery or having this battery load tested. Most big chain parts stores such as Autozone will load test batteries for free.
