I wife hit a drive shaft on the freeway. it put a hole in

Customer Question

I wife hit a drive shaft on the freeway. it put a hole in her oil pan (2007 pt cruiser/non turbo). I dropped the pan to replace it and the balance shaft chain is broken, but the timing shaft chain is not. Will it be okay for me to put it back together without a balance shaft chain installed.

The engine will still run okay without the balance shaft chain installed, but the engine will vibrate. It may be unpleasant to drive without the balance shafts active.
