Customer: replied 7 years ago.

it comes on when i turn on the key, but never when its running. i replaced the sending unit a couple months ago because it was leaking.

Okay. Start by changing the oil with a good quality oil with the right weight. Also use a premium oil filter. In some cases this will help. If the problem continues then it may be a weak oil pump or a bad valve spring. You would need to check the oil pressure with a manual gauge to see if it is pumping correctly.
