Im unable to re-subscribe my Sirius satellite radio. Sirius

Customer Question

I'm unable to re-subscribe my Sirius satellite radio. Sirius says I must tune to channel 184 for 5 minutes so system can download re-authorization. But the RER Navigation unit in my 2008 Chrysler 300 will not respond to the 'Seek' buttons, and does not automatically tune to channel 184 as it should on boot up. I cannot access channel 184, so my Sirius subscription cannot update. Any advice?

Sounds like the satellite portion of your radio has failed. Try removing the radio fuse for a couple of minutes to try to "reboot" it. But if that doesn't work you will need a new radio.

My owner's manual differentiates the 'Satellite Receiver' fuse (cavtiy #38) from the 'Radio' fuse (cavity #36). I removed, waited & reinstalled fuse #38. No improvement. Will now try removing & reinstalling fuse #36.

Do you have any warranty left on the car?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Yes, I still have 17 months & 15,000 miles. So I guess the next step is to have the dealer look at it & replace if needed. Thanks.

No problem, we have had a few issues with these radios doing just what yours is doing. Good luck.
