Im replacing the NVLD assembly on a 2004 Chrysler 300 M Special.

Resolved Question:

I'm replacing the NVLD assembly on a 2004 Chrysler 300 M Special. Looks like you've got to drop the rear anti-sway bar to gain clearance for the assembly that includes the charcoal cannister? Do you access the vacuum lines and one electrical connection from an access plate in the trunk under the carpet? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to drop the fuel tank for this repair! I will attach information for the repair. If you still need help just reply, if not click ACCEPT when we are done.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove fuel tank.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the NVLD assembly.
  4. Disconnect the hoses from the NVLD assembly (Fig. 5).
  5. Lift tab on NVLD assembly (LOCKING TAB) and twist the assembly counterclockwise and pull up to remove from EVAP canister (ASSEMBLY REMOVED).
  6. Remove O-ring from EVAP canister (O-RING).
