JA: What year is your Colorado?
Customer: 2010
JA: Are you fixing your Colorado yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i just got it,,,, it has engine light on,,, took it ot autozone ,,,, the code says P0017
JA: Has your vehicle stalled? Has anyone run a diagnostic test to pull the trouble code?
Customer: no ,,, i drove it for about one hour with the ac running ,,, i did not notice any issue,,,, but I can not inspect it until I clear the engine light
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no what is the resistance value of the selonoid

this is not a bad camshaft position sensor solenoid. it is a problem of correlation between the crank sensor and cam sensor. its a timing issue. READ THE PDF'S

i understand ,,,,,, but the car runs fine,,,,, i drove it from the auction to home about 50 miles distance and did not notice any issues ,,,,, so if its timing should not the car have a rough ride or performance

not exactly, the screens on the solenoid are probably clogged causing the actuators to advance or retard just enough to throw the code. remove the solenoids and inspect the oil screens
