Do you know which engine you have in this car? The fuel systems are very different from engine to engine.

Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

OK, but it does communicate with the ECM, apparently?

And you aren't even getting the two second prime at key ON?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
No pressure in rail at all
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

One of the very basic things that the ECM must do is run the fuel pump when the key gets turned on. Either the ECM has failed, or it is missing one of the power or ground inputs to allow it to work.

I would check power and ground circuits to the ECM, is that something you can do if I get you the schematic?

I’m not seeing how to identify pins in the plug
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

That’s not even what mine looks like
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

Let me double check it. You have the 2.0, right?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Sorry, my fault. Working on two did cars here... it’s the 2.2
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

OK, you should have power at pins 3 and 20 on X1 connector, and ground at pin 73 on the X2 connector. Both pinouts attached here for you.

Customer reply replied 4 months ago
No power at 3
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
bad ecm?
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

Are you testing that with the key ON?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Power at 3 and 20
73 is grounded
Chevy Mechanic: Jerry Newton, Chevy Technician replied 4 months ago

OK. Bad ECM then. You have power, you have ground, you have no ECM fuel pump output. According to your testing, it needs a new ECM.
