Ask Your Own Chevy Question

What codes do you have set

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
P0088

Have any parts been replaced as of yet

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
No parts. I installed an after market lift pump 2 days ago and it ran fine. And then I installed a filter delete kit and almost instantly it threw the code and killed my truck. Now it won’t start.

Have you tried disconnecting that lift pump and re-evaluating

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
No. I put the stock filter back on with the water fuel seperator.

You may want to try that.....The other thing is a piece of debris could have gotten stuck in the fuel pressure regulator holding it wide open causing the High fuel rail pressure. You may have to replace the fuel pressure regulator

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

Do you have a scanner that can look at live data

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
No I just read the code off of my tuner

Stand by a few minutes

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

There's really only 2 things is can be....That lift pump or most likely the fuel pressure regulator....review this document.

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

I can also send you the procedure for replacing the regulator if you would like

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

I think what happened is when you put the filter delete kit in and this problem occurred right after that...A piece of debris got suck in the regulator

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

If you need more help please use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, I would that you consider rating me 5 STAR!! and i will be available for further follow up questions you may have as rating will not close out your question

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Yeah I replaced everything back to stock and it still won’t turn over. Still throws the code.
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
I bypassed the lift pump back to factory and the factory fuel filter is back on and it still won’t turn over

It cranks but doesn't start correct?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

These fuel injection pumps are capable of producing almost 30,000 p.s.i of fuel pressure....if it is to high while cranking....It wont run. At idle...(which i know i doesn't run) it's only at around 4300 p.s.i

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
what are you suggesting?

Replacing the fuel pressure regulator

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Okay I’ll give it a try

Don't forget to leave me a 5 star rating and i will be available for follow up questions you may have for me as rating will not close out your question. Rating releases a portion of your deposit that you have already paid for my time and assistance. Thanks

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

You will have to prime the fuel system after replacing it....I can send that procedure as well if you're not sure how to do it

Ask Your Own Chevy Question

Following up...were you able to do this yet
