Hello my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answers! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and come back with a answer. Please be aware I do not know your skill level or abilities so I will be asking a lot of questions and in a lot of cases we will respond to each other quite a lot before we find a solution. As far as phone calls are concerned that is the system prompting you, not me, and they do cost more money, I prefer text but in some cases a phone call is required. If I don’t answer right away or quickly in conversation I am helping another customer or have stepped out for a moment and will respond as soon as I can. Ok lets get started!

Ok so there are a few other fuses to check, when you check them use a test light or volt meter to ensure power at the circuit fuse 40, 45, in the same fuse panel as 41

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Fuses 40,41,45 are all good
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

ok so next we will have to do a vehicle reset, this is done by removing negative battery cable then positive, touch both terminals together for 1 min wait 15 more then install positive then negative, and try again

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago

Customer reply replied 4 months ago

Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

ok for power your looking at pin 1 red white wire and ground is pin 8, both are in the X1 connector

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
There are three connectors on the back which one is the X one connector closest to the passenger door or driver door or middle
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

it should be labeled in some small letters on the connector somewhere, ill see if I can find which one is which, the color of wire and pic location should also give it away

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Not sure what ground you're talking about
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

The ground on pin 8 its a black wire as mentioned above in same line as checking the power

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Ground reads 14.6 with the car running
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

can you check that on the ohms setting?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
I do I think my meter has ohms
Chevy Mechanic: Mechanic01, ASE Certified Technician replied 4 months ago

Customer satisfaction is my number one goal. Giving me nothing less than a 5 star rating would be appreciated very much. You can do this rating at the box on the upper right hand corner. This will not close our chat session and at no extra charge we will still be able to talk about any other issues you may have for free! Providing a rating is the only way I will receive credit for my work with you. Negative ratings do not result in a refund so If you’re not satisfied with the work we have done so far please respond more and let’s get your question figured out. Thanks Shawn!
