Changed the rear brakes on my 1994 Geo Prizm and they won't…

Customer Question
Changed the rear brakes...

Changed the rear brakes on my 1994 Geo Prizm and they won't bleed out.

Mechanic's Assistant: How many miles are on the car? Are these the orignial brakes?

177k and they are the originals.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Prizm yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes I'm a journeyman mechanic so I'm doing the work myself. I've changed the wheel cylinders, put on new shoes, and new drums.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

And I've adjusted the brakes.

HI,

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question

Ok, this may be an issue with the proportioning valve or abs unit if abs equipped. I will need to know that and confirm that there is no fluid at all getting to the rear brakes
