I disabeled my alarm horns by holding the button under the dash for three seconds with key in on possision so I could get to work, but now I'm trying to get horns to come back on. Nothing seems to work that I've tryed on you tube.
JA: Is the key stripped or worn?
Customer: no
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2000 silverado ls 1500 extended cab
JA: Are you fixing your Silverado yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: The alarm still works, but won"t sound when I set alarm or turn it

Just looked up truck build parts and it has a factory alarm it is a ( Lock control, remote entry ( Keyless Entry System ) Remote Entry LK CONT (AU0 )

Never said your truck does NOT have Factory Alarm.......
I responded to your:

That is NOT Factory, that is added on, as Factory NEVER had a Button under Dash for the Alarm.

This is NOT Factory Alarm, it is either Aftermarket or installed by Dealer
