Customer Question
I have a 2009...

I have a 2009 Silverado 3500. The drivers seat is not moving at all. Just makes a clicking noise when I try to adjust the seat

Mechanic's Assistant: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?

Just started. Clicking is coming from under the seat.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Silverado yourself? What have you tried so far?

I pulled the dam fuse in hopes it would reset itself, but no progress.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I meant dsm fuse, stupid spell check.

No

Only the drivers seat is affected

You still there?
Chevy Mechanic: GM Tech (Cam), Chevy Technician replied 10 months ago

YEs I Am here. You will need to remove the connector for the forward and back motor, verify power and ground when you operate the motor. If power then the seat motor is bad, if not then the memory seat module or seat switches bad.

Under the dash, junction block are 2 circuit breakers, do they get power?

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 10 months ago
What do those look like? At the fuse panel, or up under by the steering column?
Chevy Mechanic: GM Tech (Cam), Chevy Technician replied 10 months ago

panel under the dash by drivers left foot.

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 10 months ago
I see the panel with the connectors. Ho do I identify the circuit breakers?
Chevy Mechanic: GM Tech (Cam), Chevy Technician replied 10 months ago

They will be 2 silver looking fuses.

Ask Your Own Chevy Question
Customer reply replied 10 months ago
Not seeing them
Chevy Mechanic: GM Tech (Cam), Chevy Technician replied 10 months ago

That would be the issue then. These will be in the centre between the rows of connectors. If they are missing then it would be why there is no power there.
