Coolant is leaking from the front right side by the tie in

Customer Question

Coolant is leaking from the front right side by the tie in crazy amounts.
JA: How old are the hoses? And have you tested the actual mix of your coolant?
Customer: At this point I'm using water to pinpoint it. 7gallon tank. It's a 99 so i assume the hoses are several years old
JA: What is the model of your '99 Chevy?
Customer: K2500 sub 4x4 454 eng.
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Sadly i sm not mechanically inclined. I'm hist trying to figure out where the leak is coming from. I have looked high and low with no definite idea just the area
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: it gets hot just in idle where white smoke or steam comes up from the engine

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and come back with a answer. Please be aware I do not know your skill level or abilities so I will be asking a lot of questions and in a lot of cases we will respond to each other quite a lot before we find a solution. As far as phone calls are concerned that is the system prompting you, not me, and they do cost more money, I prefer text but in some cases a phone call is required.
